About Flatdogs Camp
The South Luangwa National Park is one of the great wildlife wonders of the world. It is nine thousand square kilometers (3,475 square miles) of pristine wilderness situated in Zambia's Eastern Province. For many years the Luangwa Park has been visited by wildlife enthusiasts from all over the world.
The Luangwa offers a safari experience unmatched by any other destination, allowing year round access, open game viewing vehicles, walking safaris and night drives. However, due to the remoteness of the Park and the difficulties of operating here the cost of a safari has been prohibitive to many people.
In 2000 however, Flatdogs Camp opened and now offers chalet rooms on a par with the upmarket lodges, at a fraction of the price, as well as camping and self-catering facilities for budget travelers. The Luangwa Valley and all of its magic is now open to all! The quality of our guiding is of the highest standard and with its great diversity of mammals, both large and small, and over 400 bird species, the South Luangwa is a spectacle not to be missed.
Jess has ten years of tour operating experience and is more than happy to help you put together an itinerary that won't cost you an arm and a leg and will be more fun than you can shake a stick at! Flatdogs Camp is designed for kids of all ages and the only thing we take seriously is your enjoyment!
